Senior Photography | Katy 2023

First Senior Photography Session of the Class of 2023

Katy was my first senior for senior photography of the class of 2023 and it was GOOD. I can’t begin to describe how refreshing it was to get back into the senior rhythm. My heart was on FIRE. The burst of creativity that this shoot brought me is unreal.

We found the perfect, unique locations to bring Katy’s senior picture ideas to life! Everything seemed to come together perfectly. When I tell you I am obsessed with how it turned out, I mean I am obsessed. We shot in some fresh and unique locations in downtown Peoria that I had found when location scouting. My absolute fave was the rooftop of a parking garage! I had timed the session to end right during sunset, so we could get some awesome golden hour shots in that tiny golden hour window!

Sports Senior Pictures

Katy plays both softball and basketball, so we started at the field to bring those softball senior picture ideas to life. It was only natural to get photos in the dugout because Katy spends SO much of her time playing softball. It’s something that is important to her, so it was important to me to incorporate them as much as possible into her senior photography. Sports senior pictures are a great way to remember how those high school years felt and the part that your teams played in it!

After that, we headed to downtown Peoria to grab some rooftop senior pictures basketball in hand! I LOVED Katy’s idea to bring her basketball out for her rooftop photos. It allowed us to show off her love of basketball, without being trapped in a dark gym. We got some fun shots of her dribbling and I could see her love for basketball shining through! She looked SO cool and made it all look easy. We truly had so much fun!
